I came to you guarded and broken, not sure who to trust
Our time together left me woken, I knew it was something that could not bust
Our love, Our love

So gone is the pair who cared
So gone is the man I loved
So gone is the life we shared

Over the months and years, my trust in you grew
Until the day I asked for marriage with an I love you
Your face was bright with the most amazing smile
It told this was something you’ve waited for awhile
Our love, Our love

What happened to the man I knew
It’s crazy how you changed
The person I met is now a stranger and deranged
Setting off alarms, warning, and danger

The one I confided in the most betrayed a promise made
He left me all alone feeling gray
What I thought would last a lifetime
Ended up just being over a dime
